TANANARIVE DUE, an author, screenwriter and educator, is an American Book Award and NAACP Image Award winner. She teaches Afrofuturism at UCLA and in the creative writing MFA program at Antioch University Los Angeles. In 2013, she received a Lifetime Achievement Award in the Fine Arts from the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation. She frequently collaborates with her husband, science fiction writer Steven Barnes.
